He came in through the stockroom window
Protected by a shopping cart.
But now he takes his toys and loiters
By the front of a Big K-Mart.
 
Didn't anybody tell them?
Didn't anybody see?
Sunday's toys are scalped on Monday,
Tuesday's toys are scalped to me.
 
He said he'd always been a scalper;
He bought out 15 stores a day.
And though he thought I'd buy his figures,
Well I knew that I would not pay.
 
And so I left the scalper's toy store
And told the man to go to hell.
And though he tried his best to scalp me,
He could buy but he could not sell.
 
Didn't anybody tell her?
Didn't anybody see?
